Comment sont nés ce personnage et le pseudo de Mam’zelle Lily ? Lily est un surnom et Mam'zelle est née d'une inspiration Vianesque .J'aime la couleur décalée de l'humour et la verve de Boris Vian qui m'ont donné goût à l'écriture. On a envie de situer ta musique entre Paris et Broadway en faisant quelques détours de-ci de-là, mais d’où viens-tu en réalité ? Je suis née dans le Pas de calais, à Calais même : moins exotique que la Nouvelle Orléans mais plus convivial que Paris ! Tu chantes une musique d’un autre temps. Est-ce indiscret de te demander ton âge ? J'ai bientôt l'âge du christ : juste ciel ! Quand as-tu commencé à écrire et composer tes chansons ? Je suis autodidacte, j'ai donc commencé assez tard à écrire disons 5 ans et plus sérieusement 22 ans pour la musique. Rappelons que ton album s’intitule« les cons ». Pourquoi mettre les cons en vedette ? Les cons sont parfois très méritants, c'est le cas de certaines rencontres : mes anciens propriétaires qui étaient assez condescendants m'ont beaucoup motivé dans ce sens !
Moralité : On est tous concernés, je dirai même qu'on est parfois cernés par des cons. Quel genre de con t’agace le plus dans la vie ? Les pauvres riches qui s'affichent et qui piétinent les autres sans aucun scrupule avec des signes extérieurs de richesse : ce qui dénotent un manque d'esprit certain. Quel regard portes-tu sur notre société ? Un regard amusé évidemment! sinon je serai en déprime continue ... au regard d'une société borgne qui croit que superman existe et qu'il va habiller le monde d'un costume de Disney pour que tout le monde soit heureux dans le meilleur des mondes possible.
Plus sérieusement, je crois qu'il faut réagir et se battre pour des idées acquises en 68 notamment et surtout ne pas baisser les bras devant cette mauvaise pièce. Tu traites de tous les sujets avec dérision, tu nous entraines dans tes petites histoires. Y a-t-il une part d’autobiographie dans tes chansons ? Je m'inspire de tout ce qui m'entoure : la nature humaine, les moeurs d'aujourd'hui, les rencontres et parfois je souffle dans mon arbre généalogique. Quel genre de public attires-tu dans les salles ? De 7 à 77 ans ? Un public qui n'a pas d'âge ... en fait ! L'âge ne fait rien à l'affaire en ce qui me concerne. Y a-t-il d’autres styles musicaux que tu as envie d’explorer pour un futur album ? J'aime les musiques du monde teintées de tablas, de percussions, de bandonéon etc... Et notamment les musiques de l'est et hispaniques ...affaire à suivre. Qu’est-ce qui te plait dans le style cabaret et truc en plume ? L'interactivité avec le public me plait dans le cabaret, j'aime la simplicité et la spontanéité, notre spectacle est différent à chaque concert...
